Angela is back in Hollywood!
Angela Smith, math teacher extraordinaire, and part-time rogue superhero Rage is back in business! EVEN VILLAINS GO TO THE MOVIES is available again in e-book format.Sadly, the reviews everyone left did not migrate over with the new edition. For the next few weeks anyone who leaves a review of MOVIES on a public forum (Amazon, B&N, Kobo, ect) can send me a link to the review and receive a free copy of one of the other books in the series.

EVEN VILLAINS HAVE INTERNS... and release dates!
Let me explain the tentative release date thing... Between me writing the book and you reading the book there are a few dozen unsung heroes and unseen steps. There's the content and line editors, the production team, the cover artists, the publicist who gets ARC (advanced read copies) out for review, and the the formatter who turns what I write into the ebook that magically appears on your reader. Or, sometimes, the formatter who turns the words on the computer into a book that you hold in your hand and that fits on a shelf.
When I signed my first book with Breathless Press they were a fairly small press and it was a simple process because my line editor and book formatter were the same person and I think he did the publicity as well. Back then, the time between signing the contract and seeing the finished product was about four months. Now things are a little different.
The press is bigger, there are more authors, we have more cover artists and formatters. That means six to eight months to production (still not to bad considering some big presses take years).
The very best way for you to know the exact, updated release date is to sign up for my newsletter. I promise, I don't spam. You aren't going to get weekly or monthly emails from me. You aren't going to get random FWD: Spam! messages from me or chain letters. I send out release dates, cover art, and contest info and that's it.
All of that information comes to the newsletter subscribers first. You get the first look at the new covers. You get to know the release date first. You get to know about book deals and sales first. And, because I know some of you are like me and signing up for newsletters is a hellish burden you'll only accept if there's a bribe, there is always one author copy set aside for a lucky newsletter subscriber.
In 2015 that means there will be two newsletter subscribers who get signed copies of EVEN VILLAINS GO TO THE MOVIES and EVEN VILLAINS HAVE INTERNS along with the ebook copy of INTERNS. Three separate chances to win free books just for giving me your email address. It's not a bad deal.
And you can unsubscribe any time you want. No hard feelings. I understand how cluttered in-boxes can get.

You know why? Because EVEN VILLAINS GO TO THE MOVIES hit the Breathless Press Top Ten list this weekend.
My editor sent me this screen cap Sunday morning and just about knocked my fuzzy blue socks off! I don't think any of the Heroes and Villains books have made it to the Top Ten list before. And it's all thanks to you.
An author only writes the book. We can market it, or beg people to read it, or give it away for free but unless an author buys 500 copies of their own book they can't put it on the bestseller list. That's completely in the hands of the readers. You're the ones who make the choice to buy a book. You're the ones who decide if a book is worth investing time and money in. You're the ones who make and break careers.
I'm very lucky to have the best readers in the world. Yes, I know I share you with dozens, possibly hundreds, of other lucky authors. I know you don't read my books exclusively, and I wouldn't want you to, but I know you're reading my books and that's exciting. Thank you for thinking my books are worth a few hours of your time. I appreciate the faith you have in me.

Happy 5th Birthday to Breathless Press!
Breathless Press is also home to my Heroes and Villains series starting with EVEN VILLAINS FALL IN LOVE, followed by EVEN VILLAINS GO TO THE MOVIES, and the soon-to-be-released EVEN VILLAINS HAVE INTERNS (release date pending). When Can I Buy Your Book?
And I'll be perfectly honest... I've got no idea.
The big ebook sellers don't always let Indie presses put books up early, and Breathless Press is headquartered over in the Pacific Time Zone. No one is working on New York time, or Australian (sorry Amy!).
What will happen tomorrow is that I will check the websites on a regular basis and post updates all day long as the buy links go live. Barnes & Noble, iTunes, and Kobo tend to have more lag time. They've been improving, but I've had it take a month or more to get a book up in the Nook shop. Don't worry about it. You can buy EVEN VILLAINS GO TO THE MOVIES in any format from Breathless Press, All Romance eBooks, and Smashwords.
Friday night I will send out an email to everyone on the newsletter mailing list with the buy links.
You all know the drill. The more books bought on release day the higher the book climbs on the charts, the better the book sells the more publicity it gets, the more publicity a book gets the more new readers join the series, the more new readers join the series the happier my publisher is, the happier my publisher is the more books they ask me to write, the more books I get to write... the more Heroes and Villains you get to read. And that's what we all want, right? More superheroes, super villains, minions, and crazy antics.
