The print books are coming!
Look at that. THE DAY BEFORE print edition is in my hot little hands It looks like a real book! The novellas are too big, and they always look a little fake to me (not to mention thin!). Having THE DAY BEFORE in print, flipping through the pages and seeing the characters I named (and renamed, and renamed again) there in print is so much fun.

Q&A: What If My Book Vanishes?
- A Worried Reader
There is a persistent rumor that an ebook listed as Out Of Print and taken off the sales website will vanish from the e-reader. I've never had that happen, but I don't know if that means nothing I've bought has ever gone out of print, or if I don't sync my e-reader enough.
If you've bought one of my Breathless Press titles and you find it disappears during the next few weeks, email me. I'll send you a new copy for your permanent files.
If you have access to a laptop or desktop computer there were ways of downloading your purchased ebooks to save. A quick Google search will give you instructions on how to save kindle files to a hard drive, and me some plausible deniability should such an action be illegal in the place where you keep commit this act of saving your rightfully purchased books. For the slightly more advanced computer aficionado you can also find ways to strip ebooks of DRM and side load Kindle purchases onto Nooks and vice versa. Which, again, might be illegal in some countries so check your laws and your conscience before reading a DRM-stripped book.
Remember: pay the author for the book. Purchase everything from a site that gives royalties to the authors. Praise is lovely but it won't pay the rent. Put money in the author's pocket because dead author's tell no tales. M'kay?
Being anti-DRM does not make me pro-starving author, pro-pirate, or pro-theft. :)
If you have questions my inbox is always open.

INTERNS Go Wild!!!
... we are going to get so many spam comments with that title. Should I change it?
.... Nah. Let's roll with it. Even spammers like books. Amiright? Of course I'm right! Let's go talk giveaways.
EVEN VILLAINS HAVE INTERNS has hit the virtual shelves! Woot! Woot!
The print version is coming in February and I thought it would be fun to give you a chance to get the print version autographed and sent to you for free. Because free books are fun and autographed author copies are good.
Who knows, if I become J.K. Rowling Famous one day that autographed copy of my novella could finance your kid's college education. Or your retirement. Or a really fun vacation. We can all dream.
What do you need to do? Simple: send me a picture of you reading EVEN VILLAINS HAVE INTERNS.
Send it to me on Twitter (@LianaBrooks), FaceBook (Liana Brooks), Instagram (Alaskanaut), post on a blog and send me the link, or send a snap to me via email. If all else fails and you don't have any way to snap a pic, I'll accept reviews in lieu of the pictures.
The winner will be picked the Friday before the print release.

Heroes and Villains In Print
On the heels of yesterday's bestseller list news I have something you'll probably find even more exciting:
My publisher, Breathless Press, handed out the prelim print list for the next fiscal year. Both EVEN VILLAINS GO TO THE MOVIES and EVEN VILLAINS HAVE INTERNS (coming winter 2014/2015) are on the list. Once the books are available in print we'll start working towards stocking them in stores, including Barnes and Noble and local bookstores.
This is a big step forward for my little super villain series. I'm thrilled and terrified and elated and about to faint of fear from the thought of it. Being in print and on a bookshelf? That's the real deal. Visibility jumps. The ability to sign copies and hold GoodReads giveaways suddenly becomes an option. Hurrah!
So, details...
I don't really have any yet. I'm sorry! There's a lot to be discussed. There might be new cover art and EVEN VILLAINS HAVE INTERNS might go to print and ebook the same day (no release date has been set yet), and there's just a lot of little things behind the scenes that need to get worked out before this dream becomes reality.
But it is coming!
But... but what about EVEN VILLAINS FALL IN LOVE? I hear you ask. Well, EVFIL is a little bit
sort to be a Stormtrooper. Breathless Press is only considering stories over 40,000 words (roughly 100 pages) for publication, and EVFIL doesn't make the cut.
My editor and I discussed some solutions to the problem: writing a few more chapters, expanding EVFIL to make it longer, not worrying about print at all... but in the end we decided to print EVFIL with two (so far unfinished) short stories from the Heroes and Villains universe. EVFIL will come to print with the new stories THE SEA MONKEY INCIDENT about Young Evan and EVERY HERO NEEDS A VILLAIN, Evan and Tabitha's How-We-Met story told from Tabitha's POV.
Since the short stories still need to be written and edited it's entirely possibly that EVEN VILLAINS FALL IN LOVE Print Edition will hit the shelves sometime after the other two books. But it's coming.
If you want to be told as soon as I get the publication dates are for the print editions, get a sneak peek at the cover of EVEN VILLAINS HAVE INTERNS, or follow all my other bookish news you can sign up for my very irregular newsletter that only goes out when a new book is announced/released/ect.
Now, go out and be the Hero or Villain you were born to be.
