Seven Scenes to Go!!!

GUYS!!!! The next Heroes and Villains book is almost done! I have 7 scenes left to write, a quick polish, and it heads off to my beloved beta readers for a once over. Which means it could be with my editor by the end of the month.

Do you know what that means????

Books!

And socks. I promised Twitter a $15 gift card to Sock Dreams when I finished. Because I believe in bribing my cheerleaders. :)

This also means I need to make a teeny-tiny sort of confession... Book 2 is not Tabitha's story.

DON"T KILL ME!

There's a reason.

I wrote and rewrote and gutted and rewrote Tabitha's story three times in 2012. In fact, I spent most of the year bouncing between editing Tabitha's story and editing JANE DOE. Jane went on query while Tabitha malingered.

The story I wrote isn't wrong, but it isn't right for the Heroes and Villains series. I know that would only make sense if I let you read it, but there's problems and I'm still sorting them out.

Heroes and Villains Book 2 is Angela's story. The little girl who can manipulate emotions is all grown up, she's the oldest of the clan, and the first to be forced to choose between a quiet life of anomyity or being superhero by someone else's rules.

It's a different book from EVEN VILLAINS FALL IN LOVE. There are fewer kids, more teens, and fewer minions (don't hate me! Angela shipped them back to Texas). I know this is a huge leap because some of you loved the minions more than anyone else. The minions will be back in full force in Book 3, it's just that [spoilers redacted]. I'm sure you understand or you will as soon as you get a chance to read everything.

I really, really love this book. I can't wait to share it with all of you. It's going to be AWESOME!

  2. You write the story you need to tell.

    1. You write the story you need to tell, but even then it wasn't gelling. Something was off and I didn't like it. Eventually Tabitha's story will be told. It might be a short story though.
