This week's post is from the opening chapters of DUNGEON CRAWL: THE FALL and introduces two of the supporting characters: Errod and Kith-Alyssia.
“You serve the elven archer goddess?”
“No. Kith, the elven god of war, madness and literature. I am Kith-Alyssia. And you are?”
“Errod.”
“Just Errod?”
“Yes.”
“Not even Errod of the North?”
“No.”
Kith-Alyssia’s smile grew wider. “Are you busy tonight, Just Errod?”
“No.” His grin grew to match hers.
“Would you like to be?” the priestess whispered.
A super villain at the top of his game must choose between the world he wants and the woman he loves.
Today is the last day to enter the EVFIL in the Wild contest. Make sure to get your entry in!
Sounds smexy. :D
ReplyDeleteI like Just Errod. He sounds like my kind of guy! Great snippet!
ReplyDeleteWell, she wastes no time, does she? :p
ReplyDeleteKith-Alyssia is a woman who knows what she wants. She's very mature, in that regard. :)
DeleteHeh...fun piece of dialogue. Always enjoy those...
ReplyDelete"Just Errod?" I love it! Great snippet.
ReplyDeleteLoved it!!!
ReplyDeleteNo sense mincing words. :)
naughty priestess!! Like ferret up a drain-pipe!!
ReplyDeleteLoved the dialogue!
Eh, I guess that depends on who or what your worship. For a priestess of Kith this isn't a problem at all.
DeleteLoved the banter. I was grinning by the time Errod was. Kith-Alyssia wastes no time--my kinda gal.
ReplyDeleteYay! That was just the reaction I was hoping for. :)
DeleteHahaha!! This is hilarious. Love it!!
ReplyDelete"god of war, madness and literature." Now, there's a deity I can get behind. Wonderful dialogue too!
ReplyDeleteI admit, I'm kind of in love with Kith. Like other fantasy series, the gods occasionally show up in Dungeon Crawl, and Kith is one of my favorite to write. :o)
DeleteI smell a trap! Lure him back to her temple for some "fun" and then BAM! ritual sacrifice.
ReplyDeleteThey're about to go into battle, picking out a lover just before a major offensive is the kind of madness Kith supports.
DeleteInteresting range of responsibilities that god has.
ReplyDeleteThat's what happens when you create gods during NaNo. It made perfect sense at the time.
DeleteWar, madness, AND literature? My kind of god. I could be her/his prophet! Love it.
ReplyDeleteMadness and literature always go together well, and several war gods were also gods of poetry. I figured... why not? Someone has to write the epics. :)
DeleteErrod sounds refreshingly unpretentious.
DeleteErrod is a wonderful man as long as you are on his side. He has some secrets, and they're not the "I wear fuzzy bunny slippers!" kind of secrets.
DeleteOh, fun! Can't wait to read more.
ReplyDeleteHehehehehehe, love it. :)
