2014 In Review

I set some lofty goals for 2014, let's see what I accomplished....

- Don't go insane. It can be argued with some veracity that I've already jumped the shark here, but I'd like not to lose any more of my mind in 2014.
*\o/* Success! I am no crazier than I already was.

- Finish writing and then query the next three Heroes and Villains books (Even Villains Have Interns, Book 4, and Book 5).
LOL!!!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha! No.

- Finish querying JANE DOE to whatever end that brings.
*\o/* Success!

- Finish LADY OF THE LAKE, because you need The Scottish UF in your life.
Yeah.... no.

- Start JANE 2. Because. No other reason. Just BECAUSE.
*\o/* Success! JANE 2 is under contract and due to my editor at Harper Voyager this summer. So, it's started and it has a reason for being written.

- Try to enjoy the frozen north. There's a zoo and an aquarium and people! I can make this work. Somehow. Not sure how, but somehow.
*\o/* Success! I'm not dead. But minus ten million points for moving to Alaska. >.<

- Go see Meemaw. She's not getting any younger and I want her to meet the great-grandkids while she's young enough to go hiking with them. Bonus: watching my kids see the Rockies for the first time in memory should be fun.
*\o/* Success! We made it to the family reunion. Saw Meemaw and no one died!

- Try not to go to Twitter jail more than once a month... TRY. #NoPromises
*\o/* Success! It was hard work, but I managed. Actually, I think Twitter Jail might not be a thing any more. Did they get rid of it?

- Survive the December 2014 move to WHEREVER. I know it's coming, I just don't know where we're headed. Survival is key!
*\o/* Success! I'm still alive.

So, how'd your year go?

  1. Overall, my year was all right. Too many low points and the high points weren't as powerful as the lows but the overall balance puts things barely on the plus side. At least most of the issues that were dealing stress have been handled and are behind me so I'm looking forward to 2015 being a better year. :)
