"You're the author aren't you?"

Fedex guy came twice today (sorry!). He brought me computers. Beautiful, wonderful, I-can't-live-without-them computers that will make it possible for me to have a working computer and a keyboard where all the letters work! Isn't that exciting?

Even more exciting was the Fedex guy looking at the computer parts and at me.

"My hard drive died," I blurted out.

Compassionate understanding lit his eyes. "That's horrible. You're the author, aren't you?"

I was a little stunned, but very gratified, and then by bookish nature took over and we had a five minute conversation about sci-fi, what I'm writing, and why he might like EVEN VILLAINS FALL IN LOVE. Because I'm that kind of person. Give me even the slightest hint that you know how to read and I will talk books for hours. HOURS. It's an addiction. There is no cure. I love books.

But, guys, someone recognized me as an author! Like, someone I'm not related to and who I don't pester ten times a day on Twitter to like my books! (Not that I promote that much on Twitter, but still.) I'm so excited!

And I'm also buried in computer parts. Please bear with me as I make the switch and get the new computer up and running. The blog will probably be silent for the weekend. It's okay. I still love you. But I've got to synch up everything, install all the new programs, and get the synopsis for Heroes and Villains Book 2 done and to my editor so we can get this book published this year.

Admit, that's the best news you've had all day. More books for everyone!
