Happy Birthday to Me!

Birthday parties are best if shared. I'm still young enough to enjoy a good party, so for the day I'm throwing open the doors to the blog, inviting everyone in, and sharing a little about myself.

Favorite Color: Blue
Favorite Food: Depending on the season or my mood sushi or fresh mango
Favorite Kind of Cake: Ice cream with chocolate cake
Favorite Activity Other than Reading or Writing: Swimming or SCUBA diving
Favorite Season: There are beautiful moments in every season, but I love summer best
Vampires or Werewolves? Team Buffy all the way
Red or White Wine? Ice water, I don't drink alcohol
Milk or Dark Chocolate? Dark!
White Socks or Colorful Socks? .... How is this even a question?

The only obvious answer is COLORFUL SOCKS!!!

I love fun socks! EVERYONE should have fun socks! If I ever get around to taking over the world there's going to be a law against boring socks. For my birthday I'm getting *more* socks, and because I'm such a nice Evil Author (TM) I'm giving away a pair of matching socks to someone here.

I'm picking out new socks either from Sock Dreams or Little Miss Matched, the winner of the contest will get a matching pair. It's my birthday so I get to pick, but I will try to be take gender into account (Bookworm socks are manly, right?).

RULES
1. Leave a birthday wish for me.
2. That's it.

P.S. I was going to do something complicated with followers, or signing up for the newsletter (still pending), or retweeting on Twitter, but honestly? You know I'm never going to check that stuff. If you want to follow me on Twitter or sign-up to follow the blog because you think I'm funny, or informative, or you're waiting for the latest book news that's great. I'm not gong twist your arm about it though.

P.S.S. You will note that when the blog hits 200 followers we're having a $20 Book Depository giveaway (international) if that influences you.

P.S.S.S. The sock contest is open internationally, but the socks aren't likely to reach you before end of September. They have to ship to me first, and then I have to go to the post office.

  1. Your comment re post office says it all, doesn't it? That's why God made gift cards. Not as much fun as socks, though.

    Happy birthday!

  3. Lets see you're short... giving presents away on your birthday... and love indulgent food. Are you of the riverfolk from stoor? No that's not it...

...Oh I know! You must be the birthday girl. And thus I wish you a happy birthday.
