Six Sentence Sunday - Everything I Ever Wanted

I'm posting early, and reading on Monday, because Sunday is Mother's Day. For everyone who stops by over the weekend, thank you! I'll stop by on Monday.

Samantha and Mac are co-workers, and temporary roommates after he loses his apartment in a hurricane. She's just gotten off the phone with her ex-fiance. In tears, she asks Mac why Joseph doesn't love her anymore.

"I've never had someone look at me like that. Love me like that. He's a fool, Sam. He had everything a man could want, and he didn't just lose you, he took your for granted and threw you away without ever realizing what he had."

"What did he have?"

"Perfection."

Don't forget to enter the Anniversary Contest for a chance to win the SFR novel CORDELIA'S HONOR by Louis McMaster Bujold

Please read the other Six Sunday entries here.
