Because I Can't Keep A Secret

This is, for all intents and purposes, the home at the heart of JANE DOE.

A beautiful southern home with old oak trees outside, a wide porch, and the brick work common along the banks of Chattahoochee River.

This is where the characters live, find a dead body, fight, fall in love... So much of the story revolves around the drama inside this little house. I've walked the halls of this place in my head. I know what color the old doors are, and how the wood of the floor is grained, and where there's a grape juice stain on the wall.

I love this house.

And, at the end of June, I'm moving in.

*squeee*

That's a picture of our new house!

The interior layout isn't the same as the house in JANE DOE, but looking at it I realized that's almost exactly the house I imagined. Mine had a black roof and wood flooring throughout. This one has a red roof, wood laminate on the bottom floor, and fewer rooms that my imaginary house.

Still, I'm in love.

Renovations are ongoing. We're renting, but I'm in regular contact with the owners (who are BFF with Long-Lost Uncle but that's a story for another day), and when I have some new interior pics, I'll post.

:o)

  2. It's slightly more than what we pay for the apartment, and a little but further from the city.

We've never actually been to the house though, so moving will be an adventure. :o)

  4. Congrats! I'm so jealous! I'm moving, too, but my new house is not nearly that cool.

Please share more pictures soon! ;)
