Beta Readers, Book Reviews, and the Summer Move

Thank you to everyone who celebrated my anniversary with me, and to those who stop by every weekend to comment on my six sentences. You guys rock!

This is a quick catch up post to let you know about what's happening.

THING 1: Book Reviews

This summer kick starts the review season and blog tours. I've been leery of doing book reviews because I can be a harsh critic, but as a fellow writer I don't want to tear apart another author. That's going to change. I'm hosting two blog tour reviews already. The authors have asked me to be honest, and since I've already made one of them cry with an earlier critique I can only assume they're serious.

I've doubled my book collection by adding ebooks to my reading list. Most of the books I'm loving, you've never heard of. That's going to change.

If you want me to review your book, let me know.

THING 2: Blog Tours

No surprise here, if I'm opening the blog up to a few visitors there's no reason to keep anyone else out. If you're scheduling a blog tour, stop here!

If you're looking for new books and giveaways, watch this space.

THING 3: Editing and Beta Reader
I started Draft 7 of JANE DOE over the weekend. My battle buddy Amy Laurens is copy editing chapters as I edit (because I can't copy edit my own work), but I'm looking for a few people who don't know the story to read the first few chapters and give me feedback.

THING 4: The Summer Move
I'm counting down to moving again. When I say I'm a gypsy I mean it in the literal sense, bloodlines and the penchant for moving. I don't know how long I will be off the internet because I have yet to find a house at our new location.

Expect the posts on the blog 2-3 times a week.

Am I missing anything?

  1. Awww, moving is fun and no fun all at once. Hope you find a place soon. And just let me know when/what you want me to beta for you.

  2. Thanks!

I'm hoping we'll just happen to find the perfect place very quickly when we move down there. I always hear stories about people finding their dream home, I just haven't found ours yet.
