Random Writing of the Week: Less than 1200, which is what I wanted. I think I have around 4k and two more days to write (Friday and Saturday).
Random Thought of the Week: If I spend my morning writing I can do 2000-3000 words. If I write in the evening, after the kids are in bed when I'm already tired, my best is 500-700 words.
I need to keep my mornings free for writing.
Random Blogness of the Week: I need to update things and tidy up. Badly. I'll work on it.
Random Cuteness of the Week: Today is Hat Day at school. For fifty cents the kids are wearing hats. And my 4-year old Small and Pink is wearing a black pirate hat with feathers in it. I made her leave the sword at home.
Random Quote of the Week: If you want it, work for it.
Nothing gets done if you aren't willing to work. If you are willing to put in the time and effort you can do anything. All success is a matter of how much effort you are willing to put into a project.
*looks at writing*
Eventually, I will listen to my own morals.
Random Bugs of the Week: All summer long my children collect Swallowtail Butterfly cocoons so we can keep them in bug house and watch them hatch. This week we found two new caterpillars: one was red with black spikes like Darth Maul, the other marbled green and white with black spots and horns.
A Gulf Fritillary butterfly and a White Admiral butterfly going a little far south. One is cocooned, the other is still munching willow leaves. But we have new pets.
And I realize that it's a good thing I like bugs. Especially when Small and Pink comes up to show me her "pet baby spider".... Ah ... what a cute little wolf spider. We'll just put him on the window to eat flies.
Squeamish parents need not apply.
So.... What's your random?
I like bugs..as long as they don't wiggle. W*rms and the like are banned concepts in my mind. *shudders*
ReplyDeleteMmm...sorry, no likey the bugs. I grew up in NC where every summer was damp and buggy. Ticks, spiders, deer flies, mosquitos, leeches... everywhere you wanted to be, there were bugs already there, waiting to bite you.
ReplyDeleteHey, maybe ticks can become the new vampires!
I'm alright with bugs, but I'm not a big fan of spiders.
ReplyDeleteThe kids found a new pair of wolf spiders between the glass window and the screen. The spiders were chasing flies. The children were amused.
ReplyDelete...
I'm pretty sure that's not normal.
Probably not. *grin*
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of ticks as vampire, though %-)
Random of the week? Does writing a quarter of a novelette count? o.O It's about tigers, too. Very random.
Okay, I just have to leave another comment:
ReplyDeleteRandom of the week: the word verification of this comment is 'nosiness'! :D hehe. Nice.
...And this one is type pit.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm comment spamming. Being my twin, I'm sure you'll forgive me :P:DO:)
