First Extinct Animal Cloned

There were a couple of guesses, but it wasn't the dodo!

The first extinct species cloned was an ibex from the Pyranesse mountains. The genetic tissue was taken from a preserved sample.

Cloning of organs, humans, and the complications will get addressed in a future post :o)

  1. I'm wondering what you are writing to make you think about such things....hmmm...sounds like a very interesting manuscript :)

  2. There is no cloning the my current WIP. But I have a few manuscripts stuffed under the bed and awaiting editing that have a lot of biohacking and gen-engineering at the core.

And my college education was heavy on genetics and biology. That might be part of it too :o)
