Write a query letter for your current WIP. Guesstimate your finished word count and write a query letter. Word count should fall between 200 and 400 words.
Great idea! I have an agent already, but I think i'll do this anyway as a fantastic exercise in making sure I know exactly what my WIP is, what makes it special, and why anyone should bother reading it! Perfect! I'm excited!
I've been meaning to work on my query again since the last feedback I got. Will do. :-) I may even try writing one for my second project, see if I can make the plot sound catchy.
My reworked query is 100 words shorter, putting it at a tighter 215. I'm still working on reducing my 500 word synopsis of my second WIP into something that resembles a query...
