Falling Leaves and a Friday Random

My pumpkin! He was better with the lights off. Oh well.

How's your week been? Mine was chaotic, as always. If I'm not running in five directions at once I just don't know what to do.

Here's some random Friday questions for you...

What's your favorite imagery that's real? I love golden leaves falling in flurries in autumn. It's beautiful, almost magical. It's an image I've tried to capture in almost all my novels because I love it that much. Do you have a fav?

What's your best writing time? I've been doing the word sprints and races for NaNo. My best time so far was something like 600 in 15 minutes. I can do 1000 in 23 minutes. I know I've done better before, but not in a long time. What's your top word count?

Are you doing any NaNo Challenges? The past few years I've participated with the Traveling Shovel of Death wherein someone must die because of a shovel. I've killed vampires, zombies, and demons with a shovel so far. I'm not sure I can sneak it into this novel. But I'll try! What about you?

  1. I'm not doing NaNo this year. No time. But for favorite image, I love dead leaves. I don't know why. The crunch under your feet, the skittering rustle as the wind blows them across the ground, all of it. And purple and grey sunsets.

Best word count? Whipped out 6K-7K in one day two novels ago. Haven't summited that mountain again since.
