Your weekly Friday Random! Because random is a good thing, and sometimes I just need to ramble. Especially after this week.
Let's see... sick kids, sick me, dirty house, no writing.
Read that last bit again. Are you as shocked as I am? I woke up this morning, looked at the clock, and went, "Is it really Friday? The twenty-second? Where did October go?"
My total word count for this week: 392 words
Granted, I deleted those 300 words and rewrote them five or six times. But the net gain for the week is still 392 words. This is crazy! I usually write anywhere between five hundred and two thousand words a day - on average. Some days are bad, but I try to balance out bad word count days with heavy editing.
That just didn't happen this week. I've logged maybe five hours on the computer. Five. That's not even a full hour a day! How did that happen? I honestly don't know. I was lost in the fuzzy world of cough syrup and crying babies. I don't remember exactly what happened, but there's a lingering hint of really bad fake-grape taste in my mouth. Maybe that's a clue.
So, Friday morning, I'm alive! And I really need to catch up on my word count for the week. I'm only a few thousand words behind. >.<
So, here's your random, a picture of Small and Pink jumping in puddles at Ft. Sumter. Bright pink cowgirl boots, the start of a war, and a puddle. One day I'll do the research and write a book about the women who lived at Ft. Sumter during those pivotal battles because they were amazing women and they deserve to be remembered.
I finally wrote something! 1011 words on my WIP. This is the most I've done all week. :o)
