Slush Piles, Websites, and Other Links for the Discerning Author

Robin Maxwell talks about the Publishing Revolution and Why you need a web presence.

Lindsey Edwards tells you what to avoid on the first fifty pages of your manuscript. Here's a big hint, pink font won't help.

James Plath at Writer's Digest has 21 tips for getting out of the slush pile. A great check list for editing.

Any other fun links you'd like to share today?

  1. I don't have any links to share at the moment, but I just wanted to say that there is great stuff in the three you have provided.

Robin Maxwell's take on the current state of being an author in the Internet Age is spot-on. The world is changing and writers have to adapt.

Lindsey Edwards just earned herself a new follower, because I rather liked her insightful blog post.

There is bound to be at least something that any writer can take away from the James Plath article. I know that I'm still learning and making my share of mistakes, but will be sure to heed some of his advice.

    Thanks for sharing, Liana!!
